We are based in East London and our offices are in Dagenham. We meet on a Sunday in Goodmayes and church members tend to be concentrated in Redbridge, Dagenham, and Tottenham in North London.

An exciting one! We have a real ‘can do’ mentality which is reflected in a wide range and frequently changing programme of activities. We aren’t part of a denomination, but we do enjoy a good relationship with a number of other churches. We are members of the Evangelical Alliance. There is much more to us than we can explain here so do come and check us out for yourself.

We believe in the Bible and all the essentials of the Christian faith. We are keen to distance ourselves from ‘religious clutter’ that is often hypocritical and a hindrance to people meeting God for themselves. You can find out more on our Foundation Course which examines the basics of the faith and the way in which we particularly seek to live out these beliefs.
How big are you?

We believe that quality is more important than quantity. This is reflected in our vision to be an example and influence. How we are communicates more than what we do. Having said that, we do an awful lot – much more than you would expect for a church of 250+.

Yes and no. The church is ‘the people’ and for over twenty years we learned the importance of ‘being church’ without the trappings that buildings can sometimes bring. LifeLine House is a building that has provided support and facilities for some of our activities in more recent years. Finding a larger local building that would better accommodate us on a Sunday morning is still something we are working on.

Yes – and those who are not so young also. Understanding God’s heart for children and young people is something that we learned many years ago. We continue to place a high priority in this area and now children and young people make up about a half of our total number. Unlike many churches, we are delighted that many of our young people do not drift away in their teenage years but actually get involved in leading and participating in the many activities on offer.

Most definitely. Indeed we were first known as North London Community Church, reflecting our view that we are a community, based in a community. We have always been very active in local schools and outreach activities. In 199? We established a separate charity, LifeLine Projects, to provide a foundation for our community projects. This charity now has nearly 100 employees and we are one of the largest training providers in East London. You can find out more at www.lifelineprojects.co.uk.
