The LifeLine Centre and LifeLine at the Corner

A place to belong. A community shaped by Jesus.

The LifeLine Centre and LifeLine at the Corner are more than buildings. Together, they allow us to express something LifeLine Church has been discovering for more than 40 years: when people encounter Jesus, they begin to see themselves, and one another, differently.

Jesus leads us into a deeper understanding of who we are. We discover that we are known, loved and invited to belong. We also discover that our lives have purpose: each of us has something to offer, and together we can become part of God’s work of renewing the places in which we live.

That belief is the “why” behind the LifeLine Centre.

Our relationship with Jesus taking shape in everyday life

We believe that encountering Jesus changes how we understand ourselves, other people and the places in which we live. Rooted in who He is, we become a community with a shared purpose: enjoying God, and being part of loving the world that He loves – joining God’s work of renewal, helping restore relationships, release people’s gifts and revealing the hope of Jesus through the way we live together.

The LifeLine Centre creates space for these everyday encounters. It is somewhere people of all ages and backgrounds can meet, contribute, form friendships and discover new possibilities together.

As one person said…

"I didn’t know people could BE home – but they are!"

Created through partnership

LifeLine Church established the Centre as part of its long-standing commitment to the community of Barking and Dagenham.

The Centre is stewarded in partnership with Community Resources, an organisation originally formed by members of LifeLine Church who wanted to share more widely what they had experienced through belonging to a supportive community. Community Resources leads the Centre’s weekday life, working alongside local people and partners to nurture connection, participation and belonging.

Together, we bring distinct but complementary contributions:

  • Community Resources helps create the environment in which relationships, belonging and local contribution can grow.
  • LifeLine Church supplies the workers and holds the greater vision within which CR works.

A place for everyone

Throughout the week, the Centre is home to activities, gatherings, community events and opportunities to meet others. On Sundays, it becomes the main gathering place for LifeLine Church.

You do not need to share our faith in Jesus to belong here. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the Centre, meet people and take part. But if you are curious about what’s behind it – about Jesus, prayer or why this place feels different – we would love to talk with you.

Come in, meet us and discover what is growing here.
