The team of teachers unpack a wide range of topics over three terms. With scenarios, discussion and practical application, the teaching is sure to push you further. This is all reinforced with a comprehensive set of notes.
Personal Trainer
Your personal trainer will help you to keep in spiritual shape as you workout all that you are learning and experiencing. As you spend time together they will become a supportive and challenging friend with whom you will be able to share your personal encouragements and struggles as you embrace the purpose God has for your life during your Doulos year.
Project
Every student undertakes a project in discussion with the course co-ordinator. The project will reflect an interest, create a new opportunity to work in team and stretch your faith. A specific project leader will be assigned to act as a coach and mentor.
Residential Retreats
You will spend two weekends away on a residential retreat providing a special opportunity to draw closer to God. Opportunities to grow closer as a team, as you immerse yourselves in study, mixed with fun, food and friendship away from the distractions.
International: Inbound
We welcome students from churches outside the UK. We create a daytime programme to immerse students in serving and learning across a number of projects and activities. You’ll live with a local family and get behind-the-scenes access to the way the church operates.
International: Outbound
UK-based students may have the opportunity to undertake a trip to another country. For an additional fee, students previously have visited Zimbabwe, St Martin and Sierra Leone where they have been involved in serving outside their comfort zone in a different culture.

Doulos runs between October and July each year.
Sessions are held weekly on Wednesday evenings and fortnightly on Saturday mornings.
